Originally from Australia (did the accent give it away?) Kelly has an events management and EA background having spent years working with some of Sydney’s biggest corporate executives on a diverse range of projects.

A published children's book author and Co-Host on the UK’s number one paranormal radio show ‘White Noise Paranormal Radio’ and far more open minded than sceptic husband Jason, Kelly confesses to a firm belief in the afterlife…she’s just not sure what that entails yet!

The former owner of one of Sydney’s first not for profit paranormal investigation groups ‘SPI: Sydney Paranormal Investigations’ she has found the move to England to be both inspiring and fascinating.
“There is so much history here. Australia is such a young country in terms of European settlement, it’s been quite a shock to walk down the street here in Essex and stand in shops that were here 200 years before my country was even settled. The variety of locations here is mind blowing; every Aussie paranormal enthusiast would kill to have a location like the ones we use every week!“

When asked what she loved most about running Phantom Encounters, Kelly confessed that “It’s the diverse range of people that come on our events that I really enjoy. You never know who you’re going to meet or what their experiences have been.  I’ve met some truly wonderful people and met some people who have inspired me with their personal journeys.”

Jason was born and raised in Scunthorpe, where he lived for nearly thirty years until moving to Essex. He was  the longest serving feature writer for ‘Paranormal’ magazine (March 2006 – January 2008), the largest monthly paranormal publication of its kind in the UK. He is a regular contributor to paranormal publications such as ‘FATE’ magazine in the USA ,‘Ghost Voices’ magazine in the UK and the aforementioned ‘Paranormal Magazine’ (UK). Jason’s first book 'It's Only A Movie...Isn't It?' was released on 1st May 2010 and he has been commissioned to write five more books for The History Press, 'Haunted Scunthorpe' released on 1st October 2010, 'Paranormal Essex' due for release in 2011 and 'Haunted Grimsby' due for release in September 2011 and two more top secret projects!

 

Co-Host of White Noise Paranormal Radio, Jason is a firm believer in fact over fiction, and evidence over heresay. When asked what he liked the most about running Phantom Encounters  Jason agreed with Kelly that it’s the people that make what Phantom Encounters does special.
“I’m constantly surprised by how tenacious people are in their belief, and again, by how willing people are to accept new and conflicting information that may challenge a long held belief.”

With a trademark smirk he adds, “I’m always so surprised when people re-book...particularly if their original theories on the paranormal have been challenged by events at a venue. But, for some reason, re-book they do!”

Phantom Encounters operates with an industry standard £5,000,000 Public Liability Policy through Blackfriars Insurance. We supply insurance information to all locations upon booking an event, along with risk assessments and staffing lists.
