Terms & Conditions of attending public events with Phantom Encounters
IMPORTANT by booking a Phantom Encounters Event you agree to the following:

1)  Persons attending a Phantom Encounters event must be 16 years of age or older. Guests under 18 years must attend with an adult.  We may ask for proof of age which you must supply. All tickets to our events are for the specified ticket holder only and are not transferable unless agreed by prior arrangement with Phantom Encounters – ID may be requested to confirm identity.

2)  Anyone found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs during a Phantom Encounters event will be asked to leave immediately, in the event that you are asked to leave due to intoxication or use of illicit substances your ticket price will not be refunded. Some locations where Phantom Encounters operates have a bar where drinks may be purchased, in these cases we ask that you drink in moderation and do not exceed the legal limit for driving. Phantom Encounters will not be held responsible in any way for accidents arising as a result of the influence of alcohol and/or/ drugs.

3)  Smoking indoors at any of our event locations is strictly forbidden. Smokers will be made aware of permitted outdoor areas on the night of the event.

4)  Personal possessions and articles brought to the event remain your sole responsibility for the duration of the event and Phantom Encounters do not accept liability for damage or loss of such items. Therefore please do not leave anything of value unattended at any time. By taking part you agree to indemnify us [Phantom Encounters] and the event location against any loss, damage or theft to your personal possessions whilst taking part in any event.

5)  Phantom Encounters recommends that you have your own insurance in place before attending any investigation, in the unlikely event of an accident. Attendance to an investigation is solely at your own risk.

6)  By joining Phantom Encounters on an investigation, you agree to act in a sensible and civilized manner at all times and to abide by the directions given by Phantom Encounters team members / location management at each event. Please take care whilst at a location, as you will be held personally responsible for any damage caused by yourself as a result from not adhering to given instructions / directions.

7)  It is your responsibility to ensure that you are wearing suitable clothing for each event and that you come prepared for any weather condition. Advice on appropriate entire or any additional wardrobe requirements will be in the email issued to you by Phantom Encounters upon booking.

8)  Our investigations are occasionally filmed, and we do use audio recording and photographic equipment. By attending events you are agreeing that your image may be used in a non-defamatory manner on the Phantom Encounters website and to promote future events.

9)  During our investigations you may be given the opportunity to use some of our specialized investigation equipment. We ask that you do so with extreme care, as misuse / abuse of such will render you liable for any loss or damage incurred. If you cannot agree to these terms then please do not use our equipment.

10)  Phantom Encounters will not ‘create’ scares or paranormal activity. Anything unusual that happens is real, and can be quite frightening to some people. To this end, anyone possessed of a nervous disposition, weak heart or who may be pregnant are warned to take this into consideration before attending an event. Phantom Encounters will not be held responsible for any distress, harm or injury caused as a result of any unexplained activity / fright. You attend at your own risk.

11)  If you have a disability / limited ability please contact Phantom Encounters prior to any ticket purchase, as unfortunately not all of our locations are suitable for disabled / limited ability access. We will do our best to accommodate your needs however, due to the historic nature of the properties we use for events, it may not always be possible to accommodate those with limited mobility.

12)  Ticket price does not include accommodation unless specified at the time of booking. All accommodation must be arranged by you should you wish for somewhere to stay after the event finish time. We advise guests that have in excess of 45 mins travel time to a location to book accommodation for after the event finishes. Particularly in the Winter months, conditions can be icy and driving hazardous.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

Occasionally, events may be cancelled or postponed by Phantom Encounters for reasons beyond our control. Should this happen, Phantom Encounters will make every effort to make sure you receive a full refund. In the unlikely event that we have to reschedule or move an event, refund limitations may be set.

Cancellations on your part from one calendar month (31 days) of an event will result in no refund being given.
Cancellations from four to six weeks before an event, will be refunded 50% of the original ticket purchase price. This is to adequately cover Phantom Encounters’s costs and the non-refundable location deposit charges.

The option of moving to an alternative event may be offered to you by Phantom Encounters; this is done solely at our discretion. Should this be accepted by you, you agree to pay any additional cost per ticket if applicable.

 These terms and conditions shall be governed by United Kingdom laws, with all applicable statutes and consumer protections applying.

Cancellation by Phantom Encounters

In the unlikely event Phantom Encounters has to cancel an event due to adverse weather conditions we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible on the mobile telephone number you supplied when booking your ticket with us.

If an event is cancelled on our part, you will firstly be given the opportunity of moving to an alternative event. If this is not possible on your part we will refund your ticket/s.

Cancellation by YOU

If ,for any reason you are unable to attend an event for such reasons as adverse weather only (and the event is still going ahead with Phantom Encounters, you must contact US on 07795 494 807 immediately.

In these circumstances, Phantom Encounters will offer you an alternative event. If you are unable to attend any of the alternative events offered then Phantom Encounters will refund you 50% of the ticket cost. This is to cover location deposit charges and fees.

 

Phantom Encounters may alter these terms and conditions at any given time and without prior notification.
